Event Descriptions

Chinese Auction

The Chinese Auction event is an Adults only, 21 years & older. It is customary to dress in the era being represented. In the past, there’s been the roaring 20’s, the 90’s & much more! This is a fast-paced event, and last year our tickets were sold out ahead of time, as there is a limited amount of seating. The event usually takes place at the “Sons-of -Italy Memorial Hall.”

Ticket price includes dinner & there’s a cash bar available during the event.

History: A Chinese auction is essentially a fusion between a traditional auction and a raffle. You can purchase an "All-in" ticket, which gives you a chance to win any item OR you may bid on items by placing coins or currency into buckets on each table! Winners are randomly drawn from a raffle barrel.

The grand prize is a one-week stay in Maui!

This is a fun interactive night & a great fundraiser.

Carnevale

Wow! We’re in our 71st year! This is Weed’s oldest running event. A little bit of trivia - this was originally the “Italian Carnival” & originated in 1952. This is a four-day event packed with lots of activities! There’s a carnival, bocce ball (adults & kids), horseshoes, food & craft vendors. This event is held at Bell Air Park - located at 450 College Avenue, Weed, CA 96094.

Rollin-in-Weed Car Show

A long-standing car show event in Weed and one of Siskiyou County’s favorites and it keeps growing. It has become a very popular event since we put it in Bel Air Park in Weed. The park setting is inviting and a cool place to be. The Community Pool is available to everyone on Saturday, and there is usually live music or a DJ playing 50’s through 80’s music to keep the rhythm going. There are vendors for food and the COS College Craft Fair share a part of the venue. There is always something for the car buffs and their families to participate in!

Halloween Trunk-Or-Treat

Truck-Or-Treat is a super-popular event in Weed and Siskiyou County. Everyone is welcome. You can participate in costume or come as you are. Kids go from car to car (decorated) for treats, games, & other Halloween fun. It’s a safe way to do Halloween with the family. Trunk-Or-Treat has grown over the last few years. Usually over 2,000 kids and their parents. The event is co-sponsored with the Chamber and Roseburg Forest Products. There’s also spooky Halloween Music, Food Vendors, & Hot Chocolate. Trunk-Or-Treat is held on Main Street, Weed.

Olde Fashioned Christmas

This event is an olde-fashioned holiday tradition in Weed. The event is held at Heritage Plaza on Main Street. Everyone gathers around the Christmas tree for a tree lighting ceremony, followed by Santa’s arrival. Everyone gets into the Christmas spirit with caroling. There are heaters & a wood-burning fire pit to keep everyone warm and cozy. There’s hot chocolate, chili, cookies, and even raffle prizes. All complimentary.
